Boston-area colleges reopen after manhunt

Boston-area colleges and universities that closed their campuses Friday during the manhunt for one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects are preparing to resume classes Monday.

Boston University returned to normal operations Saturday, and students will follow their normal Monday schedules, according to the the school website.

MIT and Suffolk University will also resume regular class schedules, according to spokespersons from those campuses.

Northeastern University is open, and administrators advised students that finals throughout the week will take place as scheduled.

Emerson College will open Monday, and students are required to provide identification to enter campus buildings, the college’s website stated.

Berklee College, which has four buildings on Boylston Street still closed because of ongoing investigations of the bombing crime scene, partially reopened over the weekend. Students are urged to check the college’s website for further information on classes and events.

Harvard reopened shortly after the bombing suspect was captured Friday evening in nearby Watertown.
