STAMFORD, Conn.

Stamford, Conn., police investigating fatal shooting

Stamford police are asking for the public’s help in finding a gunman who killed a man and injured another while firing at a group of people outside a city barbershop. Jeffrey McNeil, 24, of Stamford was shot in the torso Friday night and died early Saturday morning at Stamford Hospital, police said. A 44-year-old man whose name has not been released is recovering from a gunshot wound to his left leg. The killing was the city’s first homicide of the year. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is urged to call Stamford police.
