A Maine lawmaker who cast a critical vote on gun control legislation said someone fired a paintball gun at the window of his home in an attempt to intimidate him. State Senator David Dutremble broke a 6-6 tie Tuesday in supporting a bill to limit gun magazines to 10 rounds, sending the bill to the full Legislature with an ‘‘ought to pass’’ recommendation from the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. The following evening, police received a report of someone firing a paintball at a second-floor window of his home. The paint caused a mess but did not break the window.
