Pedestrian killed on Cranberry Highway in Wareham


A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed near 2816 Cran­berry Highway around 8:10 p.m. Friday, according to Wareham police. Police and EMTs who responded to the call found that the victim, an adult man, had died at the scene. Authorities have not released his identity, pending notification of his family. The 19-year-old Wareham man who was driving a 1994 Acura was not injured, and he remained at the scene, police said. No criminal charges have been filed. State Police and the Wareham police are investigating the accident.
