A bouncer at a downtown bar was taken to Tufts Medical Center early Friday with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in the stomach and arm while trying to break up a fight, Boston police said. Police said officers responded to Underbar, at 275 Tremont St., at 1:44 a.m. and spoke to the bouncer, whom they did not name. The bouncer told police that he was trying to break up a fight between two to three men when one of the men, who he said was between 20 and 30 years old and wearing a plaid shirt, stabbed him.
