A former Registry of Motor Vehicles worker pleaded guilty Tuesday to federal charges of conspiracy to produce false identification papers, the office of US Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz said. From December 2011 through December 2012, Alexander Brewer, 24, of Boston issued fake Massachusetts driver’s licenses to people with other individuals’ Puerto Rican identification documents, issuing them a different name to conceal their true identity, Ortiz’s office said. Brewer faces up to five years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 18.
