FBI, State Police investigate 7 recent grads in Quabbin Reservoir trespassing

State Police and FBI agents are investigating seven college-aged individuals from foreign countries who were allegedly trespassing at the Quabbin Reservoir in Ware just after midnight Tuesday morning, State Police said. The seven people, five men and two women, told authorities that they were recent graduates from the University of Massachusetts and Smith College and were at the reservoir for education and career interests, State Police said. The men said they were chemical engineers. A preliminary investigation found the individuals are from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore, but State Police said there are no warrants out for them. All seven were charged with trespassing.
