Three victims injured following motor vehicle collision with police cruiser

Three victims, including a police officer, were taken to area hospitals following a car crash in Middleborough Monday evening, a firefighter said. The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. at 400 Wareham St. , said Middleborough firefighter Mike Allie. Two of the victims were in critical condition and were taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, he said. The police officer, “was less critical,” Allie said. “How less critical he was, I don’t know.” He said that the officer, who was driving his police cruiser, was taken to Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.
