Three victims, including a police officer, were taken to area hospitals after a car crash in Middleborough Monday, officials said. The crash, which involved a police cruiser and a Jeep Cherokee, occurred around 4:30 p.m. at 400 Wareham St., according to a statement released by the Middleborough Fire Department. A 30-year-old woman was ejected from the Jeep, and responders had to use hydraulic rescue tools to remove a 40-year-old man from the vehicle. They were taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. The police officer was transported to Jordan Hospital in Plymouth and “was less critical,” said firefighter Mike Allie.
