A Mendon, Mass. man collapsed and died over the weekend while hiking a trail on Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey, N.H., the state’s Fish and Game Department said. Bryce Griswold, 48, was hiking the Red Spot Trail Sunday with a companion, who is an emergency medical technician. After Griswold collapsed, his friend attempted to revive him, but was unsuccessful, according to the department. The Jaffrey Police Department is investigating the death. Preliminary information indicated that Griswold suffered from a medical condition that may have contributed to his death, the statement said.
