Police investigate the death of a woman found in South Boston

Authorities launched an investigation Wednesday night after discovering the body of a woman in a South Boston building, a Boston police spokesman said. Police went to 752 East Fourth Street just before 6 p.m. in response to a call and found the body of a woman who appeared to be in her 30s, said Boston police spokesman James Kenneally. The cause and manner of the death are under investigation by Boston police homicide detectives. The identity of the woman was not immediately available.
