Girl’s death treated as suspicious

Pawtucket police said they are treating the death of a 10-year-old girl as suspicious. The unidentified girl was declared dead after being rushed to Miriam Hospital on Wednesday, WPRI reported. A green van that was towed from in front of the hospital will be used as a part of the investigation. Major Arthur Martins said that police are treating the death as suspicious because of the girl’s young age. The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine her cause of death. Police have not disclosed the child’s identity or other details. No one has been arrested.
