Transit Police arrested a 22-year-old Boston man Friday who is accused of spitting on an MBTA bus driver in Lynn last month. Detectives booked Jeffery Martinez at MBTA Transit Police headquarters in Boston, the department said. On Wednesday, police released surveillance video of the June 18 incident that appeared to show Martinez spitting at the driver while exiting the bus. Martinez is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Lynn District Court on charges of assault and battery and interfering with public transportation, police said.
