US seeks 14 years for man who traveled to Dominican Republic for sex with minors

Federal prosecutors want a Shrewsbury man to spend 14 years in prison for repeatedly traveling to the Dominican Republic for sex with underage girls. Authorities said in court papers that Conrad Gallant, 62, had sexual relations with minors during four trips to the country between February 2011 and March 2012. Prosecutors filed their sentencing recommendation Friday. Gallant pleaded guilty in April to sex tourism charges. His sentencing is slated for July 25.
