Norfolk DA Michael Morrissey still out of work after accident

Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey remained out of work Monday following a car accident last week in Milton that injured him and three other people. A spokeswoman for Morrissey confirmed that he was not in the office Monday and referred further questions to the district attorney. He did not respond to messages. Morrissey, 58, said last week that he suffered a medical episode and lost consciousness before his car veered into an oncoming lane of traffic in Milton on July 16. He was cited for a marked lanes violation and said he expects a magistrate hearing to determine if an additional charge of negligent operation is warranted.
