Man allegedly strikes Framingham officer with car

A man was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly struck a police officer with his vehicle, hit a police cruiser, and fled from authorities, Framingham police said. The vehicle knocked over the officer, causing a minor injury, after he attempted to question the occupants on Highland Street, said Lieutenant Ronald S. Brandolini, a police spokesman. The car was later spotted on Route 9, where it allegedly struck a cruiser, and then was found in Marlborough, where the suspect was arrested, police said. The man, who was not identified, was arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and other motor vehicle charges, said Brandolini.
