Ludlow police officer arrested, charged with stealing cocaine

State Police arrested a Ludlow police lieutenant Thursday in the theft of cocaine from an evidence locker. According to Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office, Lieutenant Thomas Foye, 49, was arrested without incident at the town police station by State Police assigned to her office. Coakley’s office began an investigation after receiving information from the Hampden district attorney’s office, which had been contacted by Ludlow police. Coakley’s office reported that Foye was arrested after he allegedly got access to the evidence locker Thursday morning without authorization.
