A 25-year-old Framingham man was hospitalized after being shot and stabbed during an encounter Friday with three men who had broken into his apartment, Framingham police said. According to a press release from the Framingham Police Department, the victim’s fiancée and her two young children were in their 2nd Street apartment when she answered a knock on the back door at about 11 p.m. Three men in hoodies entered the home and began searching for money, the release said, when her fiancé returned home. The unidentified man was shot in the chest by one of the suspects and stabbed as he tried to escape with his fiancée. The wounds did not appear to be life-threatening, said police spokesman Lieutenant Ron Brandolini.
