Man suffers life-threatening injuries in Friend Street stabbing

Boston police are investigating a stabbing on Friend Street early this morning, according to a statement on the Boston Police Department’s website.

At about 1:51 a.m., officers responded to 262 Friend St., near the TD Garden, where a 23-year-old man was being treated by EMS for an apparent stab wound, the statement said.

Witnesses told officers that the man was involved in at least two altercations on the street where he was stabbed.

According to police, the man was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries and homicide detectives were investigating.
