DA identifies Newton man run over by his mother

Officials have identified the man they say was killed when his mother backed over him with her car in Newton Tuesday. Bruce Levine, 44, was killed around 2:15 p.m. by his mother, Estafaye Levine, 69, on Donna Road, where they both lived, said Stephanie Guyotte, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex district attorney’s office. Levine was standing behind his mother’s car when she put it into reverse and then drove over him. Levine was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital, spokeswoman MaryBeth Long said. No charges have been filed. The district attorney’s office is investigating.
