State Police apprehended a Dorchester man Friday after a search by troopers, K-9 units, and aircraft in the Brighton area, officials said. State troopers attempted to pull over Christopher Chubbuck, 30, for motor vehicle violations, including speeding, at 9:02 a.m. on North Beacon Street, said a State Police spokesman, Trooper Thomas Murphy. The suspect stopped his car but then fled on foot to the area of Soldiers Field Road near Everett Street, Murphy said. After an hour and 15 minutes of searching, a police dog found the suspect. Chubbuck faces nine motor vehicle charges, one drug charge, and one charge from an outstanding warrant, State Police said.
