Two officers hurt in Brighton crash

Two Boston police officers were injured in a car accident Thursday evening, police said. The accident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Washington Street in Brighton, spokeswoman Officer Nicole Grant said. The officers were taken to an area hospital, Grant said. Their conditions were not available. The cause of the accident was not immediately known, but Grant said it was a two-vehicle crash involving an unmarked cruiser occupied by the two officers. It is unclear whether there were any other injuries.
