Voss died suddenly Saturday evening while off-duty in Warwick, R.I. He had finished a 15-hour shift earlier in the day and was with family at the time. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. No cause of death was immediately released. Voss was 35 and had been a Somerset officer for about 2½ years. He leaves a wife and sons ages 13 and 8.
