Framingham man, 70, faces marijuana charges

Prosecutors say that a 70-year-old Framingham man convicted of receiving an out-of-state package full of marijuana two years ago has done it again. Police arrested James Auerbach near his home Wednesday after he allegedly picked up a package with 6 pounds of cannabis from a UPS facility in Needham. The package came from California. A UPS employee alerted police after smelling the marijuana. The MetroWest Daily News said Auerbach pleaded not guilty Thursday to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. A judge ordered him held without bail pending a probation violation hearing.
