Weymouth High School evacuated, classes suspended after bomb threat

Weymouth High School was evacuated Friday morning, and classes were suspended for the day after a written bomb threat was discovered in a school bathroom, according to an alert sent by Peter Haviland, interim principal. “The Weymouth Police and Fire departments are doing a thorough sweep of our school,” Haviland said in his e-mail to parents. “Be assured, we will be working closely with the Weymouth police to identify the person responsible for this crime.” Students were evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported.
