Slain beating suspect made earlier threat, report says

The Dover man who beat a woman with a hammer and exchanged gunfire with police before fatally shooting himself sent a relative an e-mail two days beforehand threatening to kill the woman he later attacked, according to a report issued Tuesday by the state attorney general. In the e-mail, Frank Thompson, 50, said he was thinking of ‘‘executing’’ Misty Sullivan and throwing her body in the garbage bin of the apartment building where they both lived, according to a report issued by Attorney General Joseph Foster. The report said Sullivan went to Thompson’s apartment to borrow a cup of sugar when Thompson attacked her, hitting her in the head five times.
