A South Carolina man accused of saying he was a terrorist was arrested near a passport office in St. Albans. Police said Radu Chereches, 47, of Ridgeland, S.C., went into a business and asked if he could leave two large backpacks there because he had been told not enter the US passport office next door with them. A short time later he told people in the passport office and officers that he was a terrorist. State and federal law enforcement officers determined the backpacks contained only personal items.
