Level 3 sex offender arrested in Plymouth

A Level 3 sex offender who was on the 10 most-wanted list for Massachusetts was arrested Friday in Plymouth, State Police said Saturday. Michael P. Cunningham, 31, who was living in Plymouth as an unregistered high-risk sex offender, was arrested without incident, State Police said. Cunningham has an extensive criminal history, including a conviction for indecent assault and battery on a person over 14 in 2004, and has been on the run since an arrest warrant was issued after he allegedly kidnapped and attacked an ex-girlfriend in 2011. Cunningham is expected to appear in Taunton District Court on Monday, State Police said.
