Married couple found dead inside their Natick home

A married man and woman in their 60s were found dead in their Natick home Saturday evening, the Middlesex district attorney and Natick police chief said in a joint statement.

Natick police responded to a report of a dead man at 42 Winter St. at about 6:30 p.m. and found the body of Chester Ju, 64, who lived at that address, the statement said.

Further investigation revealed the body of his wife, Shirley Ju, also 64, in the house.

The statement from District Attorney Marian Ryan and Police Chief James Hicks said the deaths appeared to be an isolated event and that there was no concern for public safety. But they provided no further details about the nature of the deaths, and a police officer familiar with the case did not immediately return phone calls.

The state medical examiner’s office will perform autopsies on the bodies, the statement said, and Natick police will continue to investigate in partnership with State Police assigned to the district attorney’s office.
