Police said a 31-year-old man with a history of at least seven drunken-driving charges in four other states is now facing the same charge in Maine. South Portland police said they arrested Lanny Griffin, most recently of Milton, Fla., at 1:20 a.m. Saturday and charged him with operating under the influence, operating without a license, and other charges after pulling him over for allegedly speeding. Police said records showed Griffin’s driving rights had been permanently revoked in Florida due to four or more OUIs and revoked or suspended in Alabama, Nebraska, and Kentucky. Griffin is moving to Maine, but does not have a Maine license, police said.
