Police saying little about body found near Mystic River

Little information was released by authorities Sunday on a body found in the Mystic River Reservation in Medford. The body was discovered Sunday morning in Torbert Macdonald Park near the Mystic River, according to Deputy Chief Patrick Ripley of the Medford Fire Department, who did not have further details. Medford police declined to discuss the death, referring questions to the Massachusetts State Police, which referred questions to the Middlesex district attorney. According to MaryBeth Long, a spokeswoman for the district attorney, the death did not appear to be suspicious in nature.
