BC Law School center to give students ‘lawyering’ experience

Boston College Law School plans to open a new center focused on giving students more opportunities to work with actual clients who need legal help. The Center for Experiential Learning will be a “law firm within a law school” focused on giving students hands-on, real-world experience “lawyering” before they graduate, campus officials said in a statement. The center, which is scheduled to open in September in the Smith Wing on the Newton campus, will house the law school’s clinical and experiential programs, including in-house clinics, internships, semester-in-practice, and short-term externships.
