Police investigate robbery at Haymarket Station

Detectives are pursuing leads after a man assaulted and robbed a woman in the MBTA’s Haymarket Station last week, MBTA Transit Police said.

The man approached the victim, who is in her 30s, in an underpass between the Green and Orange lines at 11 p.m. on Jan. 6. He told her he had a gun and then pushed her against a wall and demanded money, Transit Police said.

The woman fell to the ground, and the assailant ran away. No injuries were reported.

Security cameras in the station captured the attack. Transit Police posted the footage on their website, hoping the public can help them identify the assailant. The man was dressed all in black and was wearing a hoodie at the time of the attack.
