A man’s body was found in the Saugus River Friday morning, Essex District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett’s office said. The State Police dive team recovered the body from the river, located near Hamilton and Boston streets in Saugus, about 10:40 a.m., said Carrie Kimball Monahan, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the death. State and local police had earlier responded to the Saugus River area near the MBTA commuter rail tracks, searching for a missing person, State Police said. No further information was immediately available.
