Police are looking for a 62-year-old Dorchester woman who went missing earlier this week. Darlene Whittier is described as African-American, 5 foot 6 with brown hair and eyes, Boston police said. She was reported missing Monday, police said in an alert Friday. Whittier reportedly suffers from mental illness, though she can communicate verbally, advocate for herself, and use the phone and public transportation, authorities said. Police ask that anyone with information contact Detective Daren Edwards or Mattapan detectives at 617-343-4712.
