Police are looking for a 24-year-old Boston man who has not been seen since Saturday night, authorities said.

Eric Munsell is a 2012 graduate of Boston University. He is described as a while male, 6-foot 1 and weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a scar on his left cheek, police said.

He was last seen wearing a blue checkered shirt and blue jeans at about 11:30 p.m. near 21 Broad St. in the downtown area, police said.

Mary Lynn Mills, Munsell’s mother, said she spoke to him just a few hours before he disappeared. He was about to leave for the Market Lounge in the Financial District to celebrate his birthday with friends, she said.

Mills said she feels unsettled because no one she has spoken to has an explanation.

There has been no activity on his cellphone or credit cards, and his friends do not know why he would have wandered.

Munsell’s father, Keith, said he began to worry when his son did not show up for work Monday morning at his job as an engineer with General Electric.
