Man accused of assault of 14-year-old

A Medford man has been arrested in an alleged indecent assault an Arlington 14-year-old as she made her way home from school on Tuesday afternoon, police said. Arlington police arrested Patrick Barry, 21, at home on Wednesday after reviewing his probationary GPS log and finding that he matched the description given by the student. Barry is charged with indecent assault and battery on a child over 14 years of age, police said in a statement. He may face additional charges as well as probation violations. The alleged victim told police that the attack happened at about 3:30 p.m., when a man came up from behind and inappropriately touched her at Summer and Mill streets, said police spokesman John Guilfoil.
