Boston EMT faces domestic assault charges

A 34-year-old Roxbury man who is a Boston emergency medical technician is facing charges in an alleged assault on a domestic partner, the Suffolk district attorney’s office said. Juan Rivas is accused of committing the assault while off duty, prosecutors said. Rivas is to be arraigned this morning in Dorchester Municipal Court.
