Lynn man dies while cross-country skiing in N.H.

A man from Lynn, Mass., has died while cross-country skiing on a trail off the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire. New Hampshire’s Fish and Game Department said Ralph Cronin Sr., 67, died at about 12:30 p.m. Monday. Officers said Cronin was with his wife, Linda, on the Oliverian Brook Trail off the highway in Albany in the White Mountains National Forest. He died about a half-mile from the trailhead. There is no cellphone reception in the area, but a call for help was placed at about 2 p.m. Monday, officers said.
