Boston Emergency Medical Services transported a man to a local hospital for evaluation after he threatened to blow up a gas station Monday afternoon, police said. Boston police responded to the Mobil gas station on Southampton Street for a man who was allegedly holding a lighter to one of the station’s gas pumps at 4:32 p.m. Officers located the suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, walking along Massachusetts Avenue toward Southampton Street. Police found a lighter in his pocket. He was brought back to the gas station, where he was identified by witnesses as the man who had threatened to blow up the station.Catalina Gaitan can be reached at email@example.com.
