Man allegedly threatens to blow up Boston gas station

Boston Emergency Medical Services transported a man to a local hospital for evaluation after he threatened to blow up a gas station Monday afternoon, police said. Boston police responded to the Mobil gas station on Southampton Street for a man who was allegedly holding a lighter to one of the station’s gas pumps at 4:32 p.m. Officers located the suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, walking along Massachusetts Avenue toward Southampton Street. Police found a lighter in his pocket. He was brought back to the gas station, where he was identified by witnesses as the man who had threatened to blow up the station.
