Red Sox stars old and new, frozen in a moment

As a group of winter-hardened Boston residents trudged by the statues honoring former Sox players Ted Williams, Johnny Pesky, Bobby Doerr, and Dom DiMaggio on Tuesday (above), this year’s band of players watched balls sail above their heads during batting practice in Fort Myers, Fla.
