A 2-year-old girl was attacked by a homeless woman at a supermarket, for no apparent reason, police said. Krystan Lambert said she had her arms full, a cart full of groceries, and two children with her at the Market Basket: a boy she was baby-sitting and her daughter, Sonya. They were walking out of the store about 2 p.m. Thursday when a woman approached, trying to hit her daughter. Lambert said her daughter was on the ground crying and the woman was swinging at her. Other shoppers and store workers came to help, and police later arrested the woman, identified as 48-year-old Lorraine Augustine.
