Connecticut State Police said an East Haven man was under the influence when he caused a car accident that killed another driver. Drew Bridgman, 23, was driving south on Route 8 in Trumbull on Saturday when he struck the rear of the vehicle in front of him, forcing both cars into the median, State Police said. The other vehicle rolled over and struck a concrete bridge support. The driver, 44-year-old Miguel Aguilar of Naugatuck, was declared dead at Bridgeport Hospital. Bridgman was charged with manslaughter, driving under the influence, and reckless driving. He was released on $100,000 bail, and is scheduled to appear in court March 10.
