Wheaton College in Norton has chosen Dennis Hanno, a provost and senior vice president at Babson College, to be its next president, said Thomas J. Hollister, chairman of the board of trustees. The board voted unanimously Saturday to appoint the 58-year-old, who will become the eighth president in Wheaton’s 180-year history when he officially takes over July 15, officials said. Wheaton’s current president, Ronald Crutcher, has announced that he plans to step down in June after 10 years leading the liberal arts college.
