Conn. high school wrestlers allegedly caught smoking marijuana

Four members of a Connecticut high school wrestling team who participated in a regional tournament last weekend have been disciplined after being caught sharing a marijuana cigarette, officials say. Officials at the Gilbert School in Winsted would not say Monday how the. students were disciplined, except to say that one student who qualified for the state open championships in New Haven this weekend is not allowed to compete. Head of school Anthony Serio said in an e-mail to The Republican American of Waterbury that the episode occurred Friday at a hotel near the site of the regional tournament where the students were staying.
