T police arrest man wanted on drug charges

A Jamaica Plain man will be arraigned Monday after he was arrested Friday afternoon by Transit Police, who were issuing him a citation for “piggybacking” and found he was wanted on several drug warrants, according to a statement from police. Around 2 p.m. officers at the Tufts Medical Center MBTA station stopped 35-year-old Giovanny Perdomo for fare evasion by slipping in behind a paying customer. Officers discovered warrants for Perdomo’s arrest issued from Boston Municipal Court for possession of a class A substance; Roxbury District Court for possession of a class A substance; Quincy District Court for possession of a class A substance; Brighton District Court for shoplifting over $100; and Chelsea District Court for driving without a license. He was also issued a citation for fare evasion. Permodomo is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Roxbury District Court.
