A Chelsea man is being sought by police after fleeing the scene of a three-car crash on the lower deck of the Tobin Bridge this morning, State Police said.
Police, firefighters, and Boston EMS workers responded to the scene at 11:34 a.m., said David Procopio, a State Police spokesman.
One of the drivers, a 38-year-old man from Chelsea, ran away from the scene. He left behind one passenger, a 38-year-old woman from Roxbury. She did not require medical attention.
From the other two vehicles, three adults and two children — including a family of four — were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital to be examined for injuries. Their injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.

Procopio said police investigation showed the Chelsea man caused the accident by making an unsafe lane change while speeding. He will be summonsed and will face charges.
All lanes on the lower deck of the bridge were opened by 1 p.m.
