‘Wicked cool view’ of Boston from International Space Station

Trying out a piece of photographic equipment from miles above Boston, American astronaut Reid Wiseman apparently found the city as impressive from the International Space Station as its residents do from the ground.

“Wicked cool view of #Boston through the 800mm lens,” Wiseman, a naval commander raised in Maryland, wrote on Twitter this week.

The picture came from an 800mm lens, a large piece of equipment that Popular Science points out weighs around 12 pounds on Earth.

Boston’s among many landmarks Wiseman has found using the powerful lens, though some are more distinctive than others.
