FBI aids investigation of bomb threat at Winchester High

The FBI is aiding an investigation into a bomb threat that closed Winchester High School on Monday. A school administrator received an e-mail that made a nonspecific threat to the high school at about 5:15 a.m. Monday, John M. Guilfoil, spokesman for the Winchester police, said in a statement. All classes and afterschool activities at the high school were canceled for the day, Guilfoil said, but no bomb was found. Two dogs from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, two State Police dogs, the North Eastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council, and Quincy police responded.
