Governor-elect Charlie Baker is imposing a $25,000 limit on corporate contributions and a $250 cap on lobbyist gifts to his inauguration committee.
Baker disclosed the limits Wednesday morning as part of a larger announcement of a week of inauguration events built on his campaign theme “Let’s Be Great, Massachusetts.”
Donations to inaugural committees are closely watched. Governor Deval Patrick collected donations of up to $50,000 in the run up to his first inauguration in 2007, a five-day $1 million celebration. Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh solicited gifts of up to $25,000 before his swearing-in.
The tentative lineup for Baker’s inauguration includes an interfaith worship service, service visits by Baker and Lieutenant Governor-elect Karyn Polito to various “organizations of excellence” around the state, and a concert honoring campaign volunteers and supporters.

The swearing-in ceremony will be held in the state Legislature on Jan. 8 at noon. Baker will be sworn in by newly installed Senate President Stanley Rosenberg.
